Tuesday Nov 28th at 3:00 AM PST Bend Broadband will be performing technical maintenance that may cause interruptions in service for Bend Broadband customers only. This should be restored shortly after 4:00 AM PST. Thank You
We are aware of the service interruptions that Bend Broadband customers may be experiencing with our signals. The Digital Video Engineering and Network Infrastructure teams are working diligently to track down the faulty piece of equipment that is causing intermittent audio and video drop-offs. There are multiple layers of infrastructure required to send a signal, and sometimes intermittent technical difficulties take time to identify.
Thank You for your patience.
2/7/17 7:42pm Update – We have resolved the problem and you should be able to either REVERT your set top box back to the ‘Default’ setting or leave your set top box configured for English. Both will work fine.
2/7/17 5:45pm – We have been informed of audio issues from BendBroadband customers viewing KTVZ’s HD channel 605.
While we work on correcting the source of the problem we have identified an immediate fix.
Through your BendBroadband set top box and BendBroadband remote perform the following:
- Push the ‘Menu’ button twice.
- With the down arrow Scroll to ‘Setup’ and push the OK button
- With the down arrow scroll down to Audio Setup (3rd option) and push Ok
- With the right arrow change the Channel Default Track to english and push Ok.
Once you complete the above audio should be restored and you can exit out of the menu.
Feb 1 2017 4:30 pm – Channels 30.1/2/3 have been restored.
Feb 1 2017 Update – Yesterday we attempted to head up Finley Butte and were unsuccesful at getting up the trail. We have rented snowmobiles and will be heading back up to make another run today. We will post more when we reach the translator and are able to assess the situation. Thanks for your patience.
January 30th – We have been informed of a possible outage on our Ch. 30 translator servicing the La Pine area. We will be heading that way as soon as possible to check on the issue.
Thank you for your patience and if you are picking us up OTA in the area you likely can receive the analog channels that are still transmitting from that same location.
We hope to have service restored by tomorrow, assuming we are able to safely get up the butte.
Update 1/27/17 – We have resolved the issues that were causing transmission problems on both Ch 27 as well as 21 in norther Redmon, Prineville, and Madras.
We are currently investigating signal outages/issues in northern Central Oregon. The reports are in identifying Ch 27, which is a duplication of our Channel 21 services for the area.
We are hopeful that this will be resolved by mid-morning tomorrow 1/26/2017.
We are currently experiencing issues with our KFXO service. This affects all OTA viewers in central Oregon as well as Dish and Direct satellite subscribers along with Crestview cable subscribers.
You can alternatively view KFXO on the following channels in the following areas:
21.3 – Bend and surrounding areas
27.3 – Prineville/Madras and surrounding areas.
We are working diligently on resolving this issue.
We are currently working on our primary transmitter. During this maintenance our service will have minor disruptions for Over the Air viewers as well as Dish Network, Direct TV and Crestview cable subscribers.
Thank you for your patience.
