Update: On air issues

We have narrowed the problem down to an issue with the microwave feed to the transmitter site. We have changed the modulation, increased the forward error correction and decreased the size of the data stream in attempts to stabilize the signal.

We unclear as to what the actual problem may be. We will continue to monitor the signal and investigate the possibility of weather or signal interference.

Are there any known issues with your signal on Dish or is it a problem with their transmission? Help! We need to know what to tell our customers.

    Thanks!

    • I put in a call to EchoStar (the company that owns Dish Network) and they said that earlier today they had an issue with local channels in the Bend area. As of 3:30PM the report I am getting from EchoStar is that everything is back up. Please let me know if you are still having issues with this and I will contact them again.

      Thank you,
      AV

Thank you for your response. We were able to finally get someone at Dish to tell us that the locals were down in the Bend, Portland and Eugene markets. Looks like they did get it fixed a couple of hours ago. Thanks for contacting Echostar and getting some answers.
